Not quite abandoned, not quite under development. A common fate of games developed entirely by hobbyists who don't want to make development their full-time thing, much more so when they have a growing family. It sucks to you diehard fans I suppose, but it's either cherish what we have already or hold on to a small hope that Wollay will finish whatever his plans for Omega are.

No, loser, you're wrong. I alone have collected over a hundred games that I bought/played and they ended up being abandoned. If it was rare it would be a tragedy. The chance of a game in early access that came out and turned out to be what it was promised is extremely small. So an unfinished game is the rule and a finished game is the margin of error. :orb:

Are you just stupid or how am I supposed to read a reply that gets mad over things I didn't even say? Also good job having poor impulse control? Weird-ass brag not gonna lie.

ah yes, the old tried and true name calling to prove your point. surely calling people loser has won you many an argument. i'm sure its not the only thing you call people you don't agree with either.

no one here is expecting a 100% from the dev, hoping? sure. expecting? maybe some silly people. but wollay didn't even deliver above a passing grade when this version dropped, he went out of his way to gut the majority of the game loop changing it in unfavorable ways and thus created OTHER issues in the process when he had a system that worked fine.

there is an image in the community that shows his original features wishlist to place upon this title and 60% or more of them are X'd out because they are not present in the "final product" how this is an acceptable way to leave things would not fly in any other industry, why should a consumer base tolerate it in the industry they have an interest in?

Because it 'working fine' doesn't mean it was the system he was happy with. I don't think I'm going to blow any minds when I claim that Wollay always wanted the game to be about endless progression. How it was solved in Alpha was by introducing heavily diminishing returns on everything to where character and skill levels became essentially meaningless since your stat couldn't possibly grow anywhere. Is his solution one everyone was happy with? Very evidently not, but throwing a childish fit over levels being removed after this many years without ever investigating why he made those decisions is at this point just kinda silly to me.

yes, because artifacts that raise useless stats that most of them don't actually do anything because its not coded right was an improvement... before i could at the very least increase my skill with boats to make it a jetski. now i have to find one every single time i enter a new biome which is terrible if you enter an ocean biome and get ripped off your boat for any given reason.
