Sage Fight is twisting my shorts
First, I have the hard settings for mini games. Second, my Brawler settings are maxed and I have purchased the three augments (counterstrike, roundhouse, and heal). Third, reflexes are good enough to beat the 'hard' brawler in the first episode of the game with 1,1,1,1 stats.

Now the issue when sage comes to your room and wants training: I tried 8 or 10 times and never won. Verified steam files (No Issue Found). Tried 8 times more. NEVER WON. I noticed that time to enter keystrokes is very restricted, to the point if there are 5 or 6 keys to hit, I can't put them in fast enough. Time to chose 'attack' is way shorter than normal.

Is anyone else experiencing this? Anyone got any pointers? Thanks!

I'll try again (and probably again, and again...) but it's harder than ANY fight so far. Thanks for the reply

You'll need utilize your apex legends reflexes

I never bothered trying to win as I figured the fight/timer is rigged in Sage's favour.

the trick is this basically have max stats and one of the power attacks and heal during her fight and dont miss any inputs and just keep reloading till your luck gives you small sequences to mash i got it on my first go for the steam version before that i didnt think it was possible to do.

Definitely the hardest fight, sometimes you can get hit even if you nailed input (or think that you nailed), but it's perfectly manageable. Did it 2 or 3 times, haven't lost once. Just focus on the input sequences and don't get distracted by Sage.

I'm not sure why, but the fights get progressively harder in season 2. Calib is the easiest fight.

I wouldn't say harder, Caleb and Tommy weren't harder than Chad (was surprised that Caleb fight was so easy, given his build and extra requirement for fighting him). Sage, however, makes all previous fights look like punching out paper bag.

To have a legit chance, Dexterity needs to be maxed.

i finish on hard mode all you need is correct every move and fast you have 3-4 sec per move set if max Dex
and make sure Max you HP stats and heal skill

I'm not a genius keyboard fighter.
From my experience the fights with Tommy and :badik_sage: are clearly much harder than the fights with Chad or Caleb.
If you are unlucky and get many long sequences of different arrows you are screwed.

I didn't have any problems with this fight, but the stats have to be maxed. I also had to heal myself during this fight, which didn't occur in any other fight in the game. But apart from that - just be quick, have stats maxed and just try and try again. Best advice I can give.

Why choose the hardest setting? Apart from achievements, I don't think it makes any difference. It just makes for extra grind in cases such as this.
No offense, but why choose hard to just be hard? Normal difficulty is no slouch, and it's certainly not trivially easy.

Challenge, some find hard things more fun. On my 1st playthrough I discovered brawler quite late and so by the time of Chad fight my stats there were quite mediocre and it was actually hard to beat him (had to succeed on ~10 attacks, only 1 at time, while he did sequences of 2-3 attacks and would've dropped me in 3) and thus way more satisfying, felt like indeed fighting tough opponent who got a jump on me, not some dummy in training session.

And no grind required, especially if you do brawler every free roam (starting with the very 1st one). Purchase skill points for $1 from Derek and app store and you'll be fighting jock for $ instead of SP before the end of season 1.
