Passenger says there isnt a route but there is, just not at that actual numbered station

So I'm playing the with the happy passenger dlc and I have a passenger at a station#2 who wants to go to destination A. I have a couple of trains set up now that go between that station and station A but at station#4. The passenger refuses to look at that there is actually a route but just at a different numbered station. It is not good for me to set up routes between that numbered station and station A. Do they only want to be picked up from a particular numbered station? If so that's going to be a right pain when I want to change the stations around... If not is this a bug?

This is a bug because nothing I can do will make this passenger be happy.

A screenshot or a save would be beneficial.

Maybe it is the 3rd / 4th demand and the passenger wants to exit via A in a long-haul service (IC or Reg).

Maybe that was the case. Could there be a way of saying what type of transport would make them happy as well as saying where they want to go? If there already is, I must have missed it, what does it look like?
