Who said this was an AAA game?
Like, if you want to see dated, go look at the Arland games from the PS3 era, or even take a look at the Mysterious trilogy, the ones which came out before Ryza 1. Or even the game that came out the same year as Ryza, Lulua.
Ryza was, for this franchise, such a massive graphical and animation upgrade.
Atelier was never a AAA JRPG. it was always a niche, budget game series. The price has largely just been a byproduct of Koei Techmo's bussiness practices since buying the series. If you know the other games Koei publishes such as Dynasty Warriors.
