Atelier Ryza is not a bad game despite having mix review and mostly bad review. Although, they got long way to go to beat Atelier Iris :neilfacepalm:

Are you having an awful lagging, sluggish, horrible and Low FPS?
Well, You're not alone folks!

I got manage to get it right and might help you too. These are the few things you could try, and it works for me and my friends.

First of all, CPU Settings,

1) Run Atelier Ryza, then go to the desktop

3) Expand to more details then click on "DETAILS" tabs.
4) Find Atelier Ryza > press right click on Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & the secret Hideout.exe > go to set priority to "HIGH"

Secondly you can do is, Optimize Nvidia Settings.

Well, I am using Nvidia GTX 1050 if you guys have more, should be no problem. okay now, let do some optimizing.

1) Go to desktop and right click > Click on Nvidia Control Panel.
2) Once open, choose Manage 3D Settings.
3) Select on Program Settings and find the file "Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & The Secret Hideout".

### If you can't file the fiile, just press add and find Atelier ryza file []

4) This is the important part
> Power Management Mode to "Prefer Maximum Performance"
> Set Thread Optimization to "ON"
> Set Vertical Sync to "OFF"
> Set Virtual Reality Pre-Rendered Frames to "1"

And there you go. Now, you can play the game smoothly and enjoy the game.

Can i ask what's your average FPS by doing this?

I tried this on my 1050ti laptop, and it averages from 40 fps most of the time.

If you can fix something by doing these things, its not even about the game's optimization, which is the real problem about the game (besides kbm support, which will be added in a future patch.)

Yeah, the optimization itself is fine, all the problems people are having seem like cut corners on a standard bad port where the game could run fine if only it knew how to tell your computer how to run it. Knowing Koei Tecmo, they probably outsource the work on their ports to the cheapest third party.

I had already fixed up Nvidia settings and it didn't solve all my problems, gonna try setting process priority and see if that does it.

My FPS is 60++ depend on the location actually, you may want to reconsider to check whether your driver is up to date.

Well, the real problem is within the port itself and yeah, this is just a suggestion to fix while waiting for next update. we will see what improvement in the next update, soon.

This method only to fix minor thing especially for low budget user like me. I believe there will be more improvement in the next update, especially K&B (I hope) and port.

What resolution are you playing at? A 1050ti won't be able to handle more then 1080p and you might have to change stuff like AA to off as well. If you are still getting 40 fps I'd advise framecapping at 30 or 40 so the gameplay will be smoother (even if less fpd)

That's the thing tho. Most ''optimization'' issues people have can indeed be fixed by changing those kinds of settings.

Wow dude you deserve a medal, this fixed the issues that wouldn't be there if the devs were competent

yea, that's why i didn't buy atelier ryza 2 for fear it was running on the same engine. Sophie 2 worked absolutely fine though.

and I have a 3090 https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/55211541

You can also get a pretty huge fps boost by installing the atelier-sync-fix.
