Are you ready to dive into the world of Will You Snail and show off your artistic skills? It’s time to fire up your drawing tools and get creative!

Welcome to Sketching the Simulation!

You have until Thursday, December 19th, 9 AM CST / 4 PM CET to create an incredible digital drawing inspired by Will You Snail. Whether it’s Shelly, Squid, or something entirely new from the WYS world, this is your moment to shine.

Rules 📜

• The drawing must be digital.
  
• Include elements from Will You Snail—characters, environments, or anything in the WYS universe.
  
• One submission per person.
  
• All submissions must be your own work.
  
• Submit your entry before Thursday, December 19th, 9 AM CST / 4 PM CET in the #sketching-the-simulation channel on our Discord server[discord.gg].

Judging 🔎

Entries will be reviewed by Jonas, the Community Management team, and the Discord Mods. We’ll be looking at:

• Creativity and originality.
  
• How well it incorporates WYS elements.
  
• Rule compliance.

The 3 top submissions will receive:

Are you ready to outwit Squid and create the most mind-bending puzzles? 👀 It’s time to unleash your inner level designer!

Welcome to Squid’s Puzzle Party!

You have until Thursday, October 3rd, 9 AM CST / 4 PM CET to build the most fun, original, and clever puzzle-oriented levels using the level editor! 🧩✨

Fire up your creativity and challenge players with traps, twists, and tricky solutions. Squid thinks he alone can build worthwile puzzles —let’s show him otherwise!

• Create YOUR Puzzle Level: Use the level editor to design a puzzle-focused level. Make it clever, fun, and memorable!
  
• Then record yourself playing through your level, using your PC's recorder, OBS, Streamlabs, or any other screen recorder. You have to play it from beginning to end!
  Post your level, along with the Steamwork link and the link to your video! 🙏
  
• One submission per participant;
  
• The submission deadline is on October 3rd, 9 AM CST / 4 PM CET ;
  
• Submit your creation on the forum channel #puzzle-party on our Discord[discord.gg];

The voting period will open after the submission period is done. Vote by reacting to the posts! Your reactions will help with the final judging. You can also talk about the submissions using threads (just like the feedback channels work).

Submissions will be judged by Jonas, the Community Management team, and the Discord Mods. The creations will be critiqued on the following:

• Originality and creativity;
  
• Rules validation;
  
• Reactions to the submission piece (which will be a strong factor in the judging process).

Are you ready for a shell-shocking update? 👀 Check out our New Official Mini-Campaign & Level Editor Updates!


Prepare to embark on a mind-bending journey through our brand-new campaign, "Slices of Infinity" , created by the one and only ACalebM! But how do you access this molluscan masterpiece? Don't worry, we've got you covered:
Our beloved Level Editor is getting a overhaul! You've waited for it, you've wanted it: here it is!

Here's a list of what changed:

• You can now choose level difficulty, level type, level icon, starting unlock state, and default level exit
  
  
• New level trigger! Place this near the edge of a screen or around any place where the player can win in order to change where the player goes!
  
  
• New player spawnpoint object! Select a level to change the spawn point of the player depending from which level they came from!
  
  
• Updated completion percentage code to match base game which may result in some silly but intended behavior
  
  
• Added squid emotion setting, replaces AI visibility
  
  
• Added edpathprefix launch parameter.
  
  
• Lasers now output power
  
  
• Smiley counter's max value is now determined by the actual amount of collectable smilies in the level
  
  
• You can now turn off smiley counter fanfare
  
  
• Fixed smiley counter invert power not working properly
  
  
• Added new drone icon
  
  
• Added the ability to disable ball nanobots
  
  
• Level editor overrides can now be done per theme, by adding -(THEME NAME) to the end of the file name. the exception to this is underwater, which instead of using -underwater uses -inv for compatability with older color schemes. Level editor color schemes all use level_editor_play_mode.txt's overrides before looking for the style specific ones
  
  
• Fixed a race condition with the snowman mafia and destructable walls
  
  
• Bubble TD enemies can be destroyed by basket balls
  
  
• Triggers are now wireable! Check the Activation Conditions property
  
  
• Reduced maximum concurrant door sounds to 3(from 5)
  
  
• Added a door shut sound cap (3)
  
  
• Replaced the music trigger with the scene trigger
  
  
• The scene trigger can currently change music and Squid's expression.

Are you ready for a snail-tastic crafting competion? 😱 It’s time to unleash your inner artist!

Welcome to the “Snail it Yourself” event!

You have until July 12th, 9 AM CST / 4 PM CET to create your own cool, fun, and original Shelly in real life!

Grab your glue, your glitter, and anything else you can think of, and let’s see how you can bring our Shelly to life in the most imaginative ways possible. Whether it’s a majestic Shelly made from macaroni, cardboard, or even a Shelly sculpted out of mashed potatoes (yes, we want to see that!), let your creativity shine!

Rules 📜

• Create YOUR Shelly: Use any materials you like. Be as creative as you can! Tell us a bit about your process and materials. It doesn't have to be realistic: you can have your own Shelly be goofy, evil, large, small...

Using your creativity and imagination, as well as (some of) the game's assets (that you will find in #will-you-jam on our Discord server[discord.gg] ), create a WYS themed game, and share it with the community!
If you have any questions or need any help, feel free to ask the other community members in #will-you-jam, of course!
