If your game will not load, it's most likely due to one of these issues:
Issue 1: Under The Minimum Specs
Issue 2: Broken (outdated) Mods. Sometimes throws the error "Corrupt data found"
Issue 3: "Unreal Engine is exiting due to D3D device being lost" - Outdated GPU Driver.
Issue 4: "The game still wont launch."

ISSUE 1: UNDER THE MINIMUM SPECS
----------------------------------------------------------------------
your PC specs being under the minimum outlined on the store page:

Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
OS: Windows 10
Processor: Quad-Core 64-bit Intel or AMD processor, 2.4 GHZ CPU
Memory: 8 GB RAM
Graphics: 1 GB DirectX 11 dedicated video card
Storage: 6 GB available space

The main things to check here is your:
- CPU (Processor) having a 2.4 GHZ clock speed minimum
- GPU (Graphics Card) Being 1GB and a dedicated card - Integrated will not work.

To check, hit ctrl + alt + delete and press 'task manager'
go to the 'performance' tab, and click CPU/GPU to view your cards.

If you are over the minimum specs, try updating your drivers, checking your PC has enough space, checking your firewall settings, and reinstalling the game.

If you find you're under the minimum specs, you can either:
- Play on Nvidia's free streaming service (if you own the game on Steam!):

ISSUE 2: Broken (Outdated) Mods

- If you're getting a 'Corrupt data found' error, do this fix
Sometimes mods can break Hydroneer, even if you've reinstalled the game. Please follow both sets of instructions to ensure all mods are removed.

Steam Workshop Mods
• Open the Run prompt by holding the WINDOWS key and pressing R.
• Type the line below into the box (or copy/paste) then hit ENTER and delete the contents:
%ProgramFiles(x86)%\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\1106840
NOTE: Sometimes the Steam Workshop folder isn't there for Hydroneer. If the folder cannot be found, then you do not need to worry about this step, please continue.

Manually Installed (Legacy) Mods
• Open the Run prompt by holding the WINDOWS key and pressing R.
• Type the line below into the box (or copy/paste) then hit ENTER and delete the contents:

ISSUE 3: "Unreal Engine is exiting due to D3D device being lost"

This error happens when your graphics driver is out-dated. Update them and it'll fix the issue.

ISSUE 4: "The game still wont launch."
----------------------------------------------------------------------
If the game still doesn't launch, firstly follow instructions for issue 2 even if you think you don't have any mods. If the game still doesn't run, try the following:
- Disable anti-virus (windows defender is okay, but other AV programs will prevent Hydroneer from launching sometimes) or alternatively, add Hydroneer as an exception to your AV.
- Try running Hydroneer in admin mode.
- Disable any 'game boost' programs. Razor Cortex for example can cause the game to run at a super low FPS.
