Is there a way to disable multiplayer on remote play?
Sometimes people want to play games at work. Asking for a friend of course.

If you're asking whether you can disable remote play invites, you can do this under Steam's general settings.

Nope, when you run the game via remote play, it assumes you want to play splitscreen with another player. I just wanna play on my own, using remote play.

In that case, what you want to do is stream the game. To do this, you just need to have Steam running on the home PC, and login using that same account on your work PC. The game should not be installed on the work PC. When you select the game from the work PC's library, there will be a "stream" button instead of "play" as long as the home PC is turned on and logged in with the game installed.

If necessary, I can record a video demonstrating this.

Note that this will work for almost any game in your library. The only limiting factor is latency.

Yes, that is exactly what i do. And it starts in split screen when i load a game, with no way to disable the second player.

Right, that sounds like a bug, then. I'd record a video of this and post it as a bug report.

2 years have passed, the problem has not been fixed.

Wouldn't a Remote Desktop onto said home PC be better, in that it's running on the Home PC, but the Home PC Display is also visible on the Work Computer?!? You'd have to configure your firewall to allow RDP access (best to use a non-standard port to reduce the chance of a malicious actor), along with the PC. I would think that would work best...
