Looking for some sea gear advice
Been thinking I'd get the ~28k green power reel(s) for my kItana rods as my salalmos feel like they take too much of a beating at sea to risk them given how much I use them for sterlets and such currently. EDIT : Or actually maybe this RL reel?

Just looking to expand my options on Po and presumably other lighter sea targets later on.
Another big thing is I have no idea how to build or use a pilker rod as I've 0 sea experience IRL. So that combined with knowing the actual big sea reels are in the later sea levels I assume i'm better off not trying for "big" gear just yet.

Otherwise if you've got a good fish to target for the leader maker achievement quest that'd be great too, I assume my income will go up with properly colored leaders.

Get the small ocean reel and upgrade it as you play more and more or as you need, same for rod as well. For pilking you let the line drop at the depth you want and then just lift the rod periodically, you will see the "pilking" indication. You can also use just a hook and bait with the pilker and let it sit, similar to a feeder rod.
The ocean spinning reel is one of the strongest reels in the game and goes on almost any rod of mid-heavy class you want. It is 100% a value purchase.

Alright I'll get that RL reel then, and seems I can pilk with my current spinning rods too if I want.
