what does that have to do with anything? it's MY opinion and MY opinion isn't swayed by public opinion. and my opinion is, when the issues are ironed out, this will be better than a hat in time. the only thing a hat in time has over this is workshop.

am I saying a hat in time is a bad game? no. it is within my top 5 modern 3D platformers list. along with this game.

Minuteworld94, I disagree that it's better than AHiT but I agree that the movement in CnW feels really good and would overall rate it 9/10. I adore it. Don't understand the critique it's getting, the most significant issue is the frame rate drops in visually loaded areas. Other than that, level design is superb and uses verticality to great effect. Music ranges from good to wonderful, varied enemy design keeps things fresh, and most importantly, collecting & platforming=fun! My hot take: AHiT is better than Super Mario Odyssey. Fight me, naysayers!

That is a hot take. I love Odyssey and AHiT though!

I found the movement jarring in this at first but I did just come from replaying A Hat In Time right before. It feels good though!
A Hat in Time has better controls, better level design, better writing, more personality, infinitely better hit and collision detection, and infinitely better polish. I can understand enjoying Clive N Wrench more if you just like full-on collectathon platformers better, but there is absolutely no way in hell Clive is better than A Hat in Time from a purely objective standpoint. It's not even remotely close.

Hey trust me when I say this, but this game is worst than Poi. It's not worth 29 dollars, it's barely worth 5. The movement in this game is terrible. I keep hitting invisible walls, it can be janky depending on what you're trying to do like a high jump, and there are times when you can't jump for some reason.

Also, most of the levels are boring and two don't make sense. The two: the "Bunny, I Shrunk the kids" and the Halloween level (couldn't remember the name) were really out of place in a game about traveling through time. The only one I found creative was the ice level, where they combined dinosaurs with Christmas. If they had done something similar for the rest of the levels, I might not be writing this.

If you want a platformer with really good, flowy movement, try BlueFire. It's much more creative than this game. Or Hellpie, that's a really good platformer with creative levels and dark humor. Or Tinykin, a fun platformer that does a lot with its concept of being the size of an ant.

Are you talking about “A Grave Mistake” level? Because, you kinda wrong here. It’s based not so much on Halloween, but rather on Transylvania (since boss is parody of Dracula). Why I’m saying this? Because “Bugs Bunny and Taz: Time Busters” (one of inspirations for this game and another game which is using Time Traveling as plot) using Transylvania as final world you can visit. As for why first world has nothing to do with Time Traveling, I have only guess. Creator wants to create world inspired by Toy Story 2 game, where you small and everything is big. I think, why he put second world as proper world, because first world doesn’t have boss (since you technically in Clive’s house) and you need collect specific number of Pocket Watches

I got a physical copy of this on PS5 and it's really rough. Controls and movement are Data Design Interactive level, the music is cheap and obnoxious, and the game just isn't fun. I get that it's the first game created by one guy, and I'll say that it's a pretty impressive project if you look at it with the sound off and not controlling the game yourself, but once you turn off mute and hold the controller in your hands, the entire thing falls apart. This'll go next to my copy of Bubsy 3D.

Ok, I'm already starting to hate the game a little, because framerate issue made this game really obnoxious for me to play. I already beat Wild West's boss level and SCREW THAT SQUIRREL CHICK! Not looking forward to what's gonna happen to me next.

Also, this game will be receiving "Not reccommended" from me, when I'll writing review. Because, game is nearly unplayable due to bad framerate

I'll be honest, I've been enjoying the game despite its many, many problems, but that's because I love the PS1 Spyro/Jak 1 style of collectathon platformer that this game represents, and this game is still done well enough that it scratches the itch for me. That said, the game should not have been released like this, especially on consoles. It's also a bit of a stretch to call this better than A Hat in Time. Objectively it's not that.
