Free locomotion + input problems
I have this weird glitch? where inputs from the left stick are somehow jumbled in places - I clearly press some direction, say, NE, but end up going N or NW instead. Inability to go through some doors sadly adds to this, but this, I assume, is legacy of teleport controls, and with this I could deal - but the controls themselves feel pretty unreliable.

Also, probably unrelated, for some reason the right controller registers a bunch of presses in the menu when I'm not even touching anything, which makes selecting anything a reaction contest :)

Does anyone else experience this or is it on my end somehow? Is there a way to fix this? Also, I'm only on a train in the beginning - maybe it irons out later?

When it comes to the direction of smooth locomotion on the left stick, you should try changing a setting called "Look Direction Movement", you might prefer having it either on or off. This should be the source of the problems!

The ghost-presses in the menu I don't know about though, pretty sure it's a hardware issue :(

Thank you so much for replying! And yeah, toggling Look Direction Movement helped :)

Strange about the controller - it's a regular Oculus Touch they shipped with CV1, and the bug doesn't seem to happen in any other game, SteamVR or otherwise - but does happen in both Budget Cuts 1 and 2, in the menu and during ganeplay. And I distinctly remember playing BC1 before and not having the issue. But since no one else reporting this, must be on my end.
Thanks again for your attention.

Am I missing something really basic? How do I enable smooth locomotion? I tried playing for the first time today and I couldn't move or rotate. My only way of moving was with the teleportation and my only way to rotate was by physically moving my body.

Both smooth turning and smooth locomotion are in the modifiers menu.

As for my problem, I solved it by using OpenComposite, which circumvents SteamVR, so guess it's all good.
