playing on oculus quest 2 via the oculus link cable

Has anyone else had problems loading budget cuts 2 and playing it on the oculus quest 2? The game starts up but all I get is the loading screen with no options - the music plays through the oculus speakers but does not display.

Problem solved - I just needed to access the native Oculus SDK support through the oculussdk beta branch from game's properties. Restarting with the beta version solved the issue.

Nice to hear that you solved it!
We should probably have another look at why the game doesn't seem to want to play well at all times with the Quest 2 link feature, so thanks for reporting it!
