(Spoilers) ADAM seriously needs some balancing
It didn't take me long to figure out that grinding up ADAM was a potential way to get him, and even the route to make him do so.

However it's almost impossible to get him to stand on the damn platform for more than 0.5 seconds. He's already turned around and walked off it by time you're down to the platform let alone to the grinder button.

I just checked my stream recording and after I had naturally come to the solution and tried luring him onto the platform it became clear he wouldn't stay on it so I spent the next 30 minutes going back and forth around the map wasting time for another solution that didn't exist.

(Yes I also thought about using a head for the elevator on my own as well, but there were no heads dropping from the pipe. Either they bugged and stopped coming out or they only spawn at the start of the level.)

Finally I looked it up only to find that both solutions I thought of were the correct solutions but neither of them were working. Yet still I spent another 25 minutes trying to grind him. (Heh.) Onto the grinder doors, wait until he gets close, teleport to the platform, and he's already off it. Again and again and again and again until I was bored and both my non-existent audience and I were no longer being entertained so I left unsatisfied without killing him.

I found it an interesting parallel since during ADAM's section in the first game I also spent an immense amount of time going back and forth struggling to find the solution before getting bored and looking it up. Although this time felt even worse because I actually did find the solution(s) on my own but the game wasn't letting me have it.

Either way, this seems like a bug or an oversight. If you get ADAM on the sliding doors above the grinder and teleport away, he should stand there for a few seconds so the player actually stands a chance of killing him without having to repeatedly try over and over to maybe get there eventually. Really killed it for me.

Also something to consider is another method I tried was standing opposite of the sliding doors. He would either stand still on the other side of the doors and stare at me or he would turn around and refuse to step on them. I feel like it should be possible to lure him to walk over the doors that way as well.

Either of those working would have saved me a literal hour of wasted time getting nowhere except for losing my immersion.

Are you making sure to break his line of sight of you after placing a lightbulb on both sides of the platform? If he knows that there's lightbulbs on the ground (and seen them recently) and you teleport away to where he can't immediately see you again, he'll divert his attention to those lights to smash them. That gets you the time you need to open the platform on him.

Also, for the spare head parts, the stuff that falls from the pipe don't fall while the platform is extended, and don't immediately start falling again once retracted. It's pretty much a matter of waiting however long for the next batch to spawn and fall and pushing the button for the platform to catch it. If you really don't want to test your patience trying to do that, you can just spam the button after getting it extended so the stuff does have a chance to fall while still having a good chance of catching it before it lands in the grinder.

I noticed him stomping lights out but it never occurred to me that I could replace them, the bulb making machine seemed like a one-time use thing to me.

Those lights must be out by default, then. Because even immediately after he came down the elevator it didn't work.

Guess the fan wiki should really be updated on it's guide.

There should be a sign somewhere telling worker robots to replace burnt out floor bulbs when they see them or something to give a little hint to players. Perhaps also a sign above the chute button that says 'enable/disable parts flow'.

These little types of things can go a long way of giving hints to players without flat out telling them what to do. Devs may have benefited from more playtesters.

For how the game is right now, it does well enough. The chute/platform link definitely could be better advertised though.

ADAM was super easy for me.

a) extend the bridge over the grinder.
b) trigger ADAM by creating the light bulb
c) while ADAM decends in the elevator, go back to the switch for the bridge over the grinder. On his way to me, ADAM passed the bridge, I pressed the button.

d) teleport on top of the press.
e) wait until ADAM is far enough away.
f) teleport to the press switch. ADAM will come directly towards you, meaning he goes into the press
g) press the press switch.
