Damn phantom liberty eating my CPU alive basicly cant play as i dit before and there is no fix
Hi,
i bough expension for cyberpunk 2077 dlc Phantom Liberty cuz i allready run and finish game soo many times that i need something new yes this is it its great new dlc well it has only one issue its basicly unplayable at the moment and i think it gonna be like this forever.
I used to play game at 1440p ultra settiing just sett to med crow dencity and RT off other than that game run amazing allways abowe 80 fps no under and avarage was 112fps and highest was 135fps and i playing with R9 3900x with rx 7900 gre all run smoothly allways have 99 or 98 percent gpu utilization no matter where i was in game but after I tryed phantom liberty ufffffffffffffffffff biggg uffffffffffffffffffff moment i just wake up and be like oh yeahhh we cant run this like dont get me wrong game not crashing or anything like that but game using extremly a lot my cpu now mutch more than before and thats like nothing even before game used like 35 to 45 percent of cpu the problem is the game now dont utilizete my GPU as it was before not my cpu is at 50 or 60 percent and gpu is it 70 to 80 percent specielly in dog town area plus fps can droppeed under 60 and this is classic bottlenc i guess cuz game run like all over the place cuz its like good bad fps good fps bad fpps every time i enter dog down damn fps go down spicielly in the center of it the rest of night city is fine around 80 to 95 fps city and outside the city around 15 to 120 fps great and smooth but when you meet big group of NPCs in dog towm well juust bye bye fps and i have to say i dont think that fsr 3.0 change anything about this cuz there is allways gonna be thats sweet sweet cpu bottleneck and we nned to somehow optimalizated this a bit more cuz damn CD project red the game was amazing until you drop update 2.0 and above now its pure disaster but even new hardware dont fix this issue im pretty sure never the less tomorrow i will pick up my new 5800x3d and yes this is not that big upgrade over 3900x but game gonna be mutch more smooth and 1 percent lows are gonna be mutch higher than with R9 for sure i just cant wait to try this new puppy, but lest be real not mutch gonna change cuz even 7800x3D and rtx 4090 have issues when you enter dig town centre soo i dont have high hopes but we will see. What do you think you have same or similar problem let me know.

Have anice day,.:

Not just you. It's a known issue. Dog town will tank your performance.
Notice you said you upgrading to a 5800x3d I did the same not long back 5800x3d and a 7900GRE and this game runs really well, tried a lot of different settings you can run 1440p everything maxed no ray tracing and get 100FPS, or inc ray tracing with FSR quality and get around 50-60fps or 4k FSR balanced with only ray traced reflections and get 50-60fps.

and when you get your 5800X3d try undervolting it in the BIOS I did a -50mv offset dropped my load temps by around 10*c.
There's a reason the devs told people to make sure they clean their fans, dog town pushes min-spec hardware to it's limits, and if your hardware aint in proper condition, you risk system instability.

I dit done upgrade to 5800x3D and yeah this solved all issues game runs like butter 1percent lows are amazing and finally im not forced to play 4k i can play 2K or just normal 1440p without worring about my gpu utilization yes cpu work hard now but gpu runs at 99 percent all the time this was worth upgrade also i drop wraith prism for new deepcool ak 500 and ohh boy ohh boy i cant hear anything while brozing web or vathing videon and while galing tems stay at 66 degrees celsious juust perfection perfectly enough for 5800x3D as cpu cooler but yeah this dlc really brings mutch more stress for cpu and peope who are on am4 well its time to buy 5700x3D or 5800x3D if you dont well lets just say experience wont be the best for you and if anyone building new pc with am5 go straigh to 7700x or 7800x3D if you have money for it.
Yep it's like a fully fledged x4 simulation, but on earth :D

Uses my 7600x %70 %80 all the time and temps even with nh-d15 is around 70-74c. Probably simulating unnecessary things in the background.

Yeah true but somehow the draw distance is still ♥♥♥♥, i cant help it cuz stuff like road signs while you cruzing city loading too slow in my opinion. Also everything is really nice but when you sometimes look at the food cans or food bags they are absolutly mess also this is long time problem even with old version of cyberpunk the food was allways bad looking.
