Rule 1: Please be Nice! CDPR Rules of Conduct.
Hello all Cyberpunk 2077 and CDPR fans. It's good to have a place to talk about 2077!

However, this is a social discussion platform and for there to -be- any social discussion, some rules of civil discourse must be observed.

Steam's Rules of Conduct line up nicely with CDPR's. If you've been on our forums or our Discord, these should be familiar to you.

In short, Be Friendly and Respectful. Don't post things you know you shouldn't. Don't talk politics or religion. Plus the usual no-piracy, no-drugs, etc.

We've identified some problem areas here that seem to crop up again and again.

Please keep discussions within friendly, respectful, on-topic boundaries. Failure to do so will lead to a series of measures against your ability to post here.

Do not do any of the following:

Flame or insult other members

Bypass any filters
Abuse or encourage abuse of the Post Reporting System
Post personally identifiable information (i.e. name, address, email, phone number, etc.)
Bump threads

Derail a thread's topic

Post links to phishing sites
Post spam (i.e. +1, 10char, rickrolls) or Re-post Closed, Modified, Deleted Content
Repetitively post in the incorrect forum (example: trade requests belong in trading forum)

Publicly discuss moderation

Artificially manipulate the User Review system or voting/rating systems

Do not post any content on Steam containing the following:

Porn, inappropriate or offensive content, warez or leaked content or anything else not safe for work

Discussion of piracy including, but not limited to:
Cracks
Key generators
Console emulators
Cheating, hacking, game exploits

Threats of violence or harassment, even as a joke

Posted copyright material such as magazine scans
Soliciting, begging, auctioning, raffling, selling, advertising, referrals

Racism, discrimination

Abusive language, including swearing

Drugs and alcohol

Religious, political, and other “prone to huge arguments” threads

Thanks! Have fun posting, discussing and (respectfully) arguing with each other!

An additional note:

As a general policy, we often merge threads that are content duplicates of existing threads. This is to keep the Discussions relatively tidy, and no different than what we do on the official CDPR forums.

So, please do not be offended if you post a thread that then gets merged with an existing thread.

Another, additional note:

If, and when, you see us posting in the blue "header" text (example below), it means that the post or part of a post is especially important to read, understand, and take into account when posting. Additionally, unless otherwise clearly indicated, it is not to be argued with, as it is us "speaking" as moderators. Personal opinions will never be expressed in blue.

We do the same thing on the official CDPR Forums, and it is a highly effective way to add visibility and clarity. Which is also why it is only used when necessary; usually to post in-thread reminders or warnings.

This is an example.

Another, additional note:

In the group prohibited in any way impersonate moderator or an employee of CDPR. Including using ambiguous headlines, clickbaits, etc.

Steam's Rules and Guidelines have been updated today, so please make sure to read them again.

As it is not common knowledge (for obvious reasons), or a common thing on forums, I will note the following:

Steam forums do not allow editing other people's posts, except maybe for Valve employees (which forum moderators with orange names are not).

What this means is that the only real option for us is to delete offending posts even if only small parts of them are violating the rules.
