Troubleshooting for iMac
Been trying for the past 24hrs to get the game running. After installation is complete, the icon bounces for a few minutes, then stops and tells me the application is not responding while Steam says the game is running. I have a 2017 iMac running Ventura with 16GB memory and a Radeon Pro 575 4GB graphics. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the game, gave the game and Steam full accessibility and full access to the disk, restarted the computer countless times, bypassed verification, and am now attempting to download it onto the guest account instead of my primary. The only things I haven't tried according to other troubleshooting guides I've seen are 1. redownload steam, 2. used CleanMyMac to update and verify everything is working smoothly (do not have access to CleanMyMac at this time), and 3. started over in a Bootcamp of Windows instead.

Any tips? Is my graphics what's killing me since it isn't what Steam recommends? Should I just try to get the game refunded if it doesn't work at this point? Thanks!

My guess that it is the Radeon Pro 575 that is not enough, if my info is correct it is weaker than an RX 480, and that is the issue.
During the EA i managed to make the game run on an RX 560 after about playing around with certain settings for 5 hours at least.
With Mac i doubt you have that kind of freedom, so likely yeah, it is the GPU that is not enough.

Man, that really sucks. Guess I should've researched a little deeper before buying, just got too excited too quickly that there was finally a game I was interested in that actually worked on Mac LOL. Appreciate the feedback!

Also even if you managed to get it to work, it would be very very ugly, long loading times and basicly would be a terrible experience. (For me it was during covid so had the time:D)
So it would probably not be a good idea to run it on that even if you got it to work:S

Not sure if it is the genre that you are looking for but perhaps try Wrath of the Righteous, i find that game superior to this one, but that is just my own oppinion.
