Does two-weapon fighting affect dual wield crossbows?
I can only find (some presumably outdated) info about it working incorrectly, working, not working at all and whatever else. What is the situation right now?

Yes it affects them.

The reason for the confusing outdated info about this feat is because in the past DEX fully applied to the offhand crossbow damage by default without the feat, but Larian corrected this so now it has a purpose.
