The Hardest Part of the Game
I want to do my first Honour Mode run, and I'm stuck on what is without a doubt the most difficult part of the game. It's not any boss or high level mob. It's those blasted first brains at the beginning right after you get off the Ithilid ship! What makes this encounter so hard is that you don't have any build yet. You're level 1, and these guys can one shot each of your guys because you start with an extremely low maximum health. In the very first encounter, you have two characters, and there are three of them. Essentially, if they get a turn, it's game over, because that's one more brain than they need to kill your entire party in one turn. Can I get some tips on how to survive long enough to actually have a build?

This blew my mind when I watched it on a stream but there is a cliff to the right you can climb to skip them altogether(and there is also a chest on top).
sneak past them... for sure, certain builds will struggle.

if you sneak up on them using sharts "pass without trace" you can get a surprise round on them. it will still take 2 rounds to kill them but you'll be fine

if not sneak leftside and use shift to highlght there vision
I can't at all remember this to require any other strategy than on normal... the only addition they have is the blast, but that can be avoided with proper positioning (stay far away and maybe behind some obstacle).

And you have all the tools: sneak attack them for a surprise, blow up that nautiloid tank that's lying around, attack from high ground (climb up on the right side), maybe you got a speed potion on the ship and didn't use it, use the void bulbs that you surely collected on the ship... and like Maraxus said, you can climb up the rocks there and come back later.
you can skip them by jumping up the ledges on the right side of the the "entrance" of that fight.
