Actually I haven't played all of 3 yet, but I doubt it will get better than old 1 and 2. I have those games on my OS install image.
I feel I should elaborate the fact that to me Baldur's Gate 3 is the second best RPG game I've played in decades.
Actually scratch that, BG3 is the second best RPG I've ever played.
Yes, Beamdog's Enhanced Edition versions update them tremendously for compatibility with modern hardware and they're also on Steam.
