Q:What is Baldur’s Gate 3?
A: Baldurs Gate 3 is a sequel to Baldurs Gate 1&2 (Developed by Black Isle studios). It is being developed and published by Larian Studios. It is a Turnbased CRPG based on Dungeons and Dragons 5th edition ruleset. It is set in the Sword Coast region in the Forgotten Realms setting

Q: What is the release date?
A: Currently unknown but the game will be going into Early Access Oct 6th 2020

Q: What platforms will the game be released on?
A: Current plans for release are on Steam, GoG, and Google Stadia.

Q: Will the game have Linux or OSX support?
A: Mac support has been confirmed EA. There is no official confirmation of support for Linux

Q: Is it multiplayer?
A: The game is confirmed to have 4 player multiplayer.

Q: What Races are confirmed?
A: Confirmed races include Tiefling, Drow, Human, Githyanki, Dwarf, Elf, Half-Elf, Half-Drow, and Halfling. More races are to be added during development along with subraces PHB is assumed

Q: What Classes are confirmed?
A: Confirmed Classes include Wizard, Cleric, Fighter, Ranger, Rogue, and Warlock. More classes are to be added during development along with subclasses. All PHB classes and sub are confirmed for final release.

Q: How does it Differ from previous games in the series?
A: Baldurs Gate 3 is being developed by a different company, Uses a Different ruleset of D&D, and uses a different combat system of Turnbased combat vs Previous entries Real Time with Pause system

Q: Is the Story connected to Baldur’s Gate 1&2?
A: The Story of Baldur’s Gate 3 takes place about 100 years after the events of 2. It will be its own story but with some connections although how deep is to be seen. The games story will be using the Novelization of Baldur’s Gate as its lore along with following the events of Baldurs Gate: Descent into Avernus Tabletop module released late 2019. Larian has stated that previous games are not required to understand the story but will be present in the world allowing for deeper understanding of the story and world. Characters from BG1/2 will also be present but no information on which ones will be featured in 3
