UI Font size 2 - can't see container usage number. WTF?!
I'm on a 3840x1600 monitor - the standard font and UI elements are so pathetically small (grab handles, container sorting buttons etc) that it's insane that after over a decade of development we're still like this - but what's most annoying is I can't see how full any container (boot, trailer, crate etc) is because the stupid tiny field for the 'xxx/yyy' DOESN'T adjust it's width to fit the fonts. Despite there being a HUGE amount of wasted space on the inventory title/drag bars.

Does anyone know of a way around this? I can't drop the ui font stuff back down to default as I can't see anything. Doesn't help that I'm not 20 anymore but come on...

Yes, you can play windowed mode, with a lower resolution (i'd recommend 1920*1080 or 2560*1440)

Then you use a third party program to scale up to a more readable full screen:
option A: lossless scaling, available on steam, not free.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/993090/Lossless_Scaling/

option B : magpie, free.
https://github.com/Blinue/Magpie

I use magpie, with the standard default settings and 2560*1440 resolution, and it works flawlessly.

here's how it looks on my side: https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3360812473

As you can see, it all makes UI elements perfectly readable.

@moderators: it feels like this is the kind of question that is recurrent enough that it maybe would make sense pinning the answer to it, at least until B42 stable is released?

So I have to BUY more software, under utilise my ultrawide monitor and run and a low res to get around this stupid oversight?

Wow. I really, sincerely appreciate your speedy reply, but my mind is blown that this is the only viable solution; I was kind of hoping to hack some lua file to resize that window panel width but I'm not spending money for one game where the devs can't be bothered to implement a viable UI - especially when they offer resizing of fonts natively but couldn't be bothered to check the windows still would work.

:(

You don't have to buy anything. read again. Also you scale your resolution up with those programs.

Anyways, this is getting addressed in the next build.

Oh, thank you. And I wasn't aware this was going to be fixed. Thanks.
