Project Cars 2's forumla racing imo is just as good if not better than this. Sure, F1 2020 has the larger selection of formula but meh.

How is PJ2 on a controller?

If you are only interested in graphics, just watch YouTube gameplays of both games

Agree! Those several titles all appear to compete well, just depends ultimately on personal preference and setup.

I would say both. Assetto Corsa is more sim than F1 and has way more variety of cars (obviously). If you want true driving experience AC is the choice. This is not to say that F1 driving experience is bad. It's just not as sim as AC although very close. For example all tracks in AC are laser scanned. This means every curb/bump you feel in the game represent their real life counterparts. This is not the case with F1 however as the tracks are not laser scanned. Moreover AC has a plethora of community mods introducing new cars, new tracks, updated car sounds as well as improved graphics to make it look as realistic as possible. Just checkout CSP and Sol mod on YouTube.

If you want the most realistic driving experience I would instead recommend Assetto Corsa Competizione although it's restricted to only GT3 and GT4 class and tracks.

That being said if you are looking for an incredible single player experience F1 is the choice. The career mode is unparalleled throughout all sim racing games and the driving experience although not as sim as AC/ACC is still incredible enough to make it a viable choice for sim racing.

Is AC:C only more realistic than AC because there are fewer cars so they've been worked on to more closely resemble their real-life counterparts? Or is AC:C actually running a different physics/sim engine underneath?

Both. Obviously having less content to focus on allowed Kunos to really deliver on quality. Every GT3 and GT4 car gives a unique driving experience and it's therefore recommended to try all cars to decide which is the most suitable for your driving experience and then stick to it. Each car BOP is modelled after their real life counterparts resulting in car/track metas i.e. cars being more suitable for certain tracks depending on their BOP and the track layout. Not just cars/tracks though. The sim is purely focused on GT3/GT4 and therefore the whole experience of GT3 and GT4 is realistic. You can't do anything in the game that you won't be able to do in real life GT3/GTR.

For example there is no autopitting like in F1. You have to manually slow down the car to pit lane speed, engage the pit limiter and then drive to and stop at the designated pit position. Following pit completion car has to be manually started and driven out of the pit lane. Depending on your stopping accuracy, the pit team might have to reposition the car before attempting tire change, refuel, repair etc. which could result in time / position loss. Being slow in starting the car and accelerating out of the pit lane could also result in time / position loss.

The game doesn't provide you any hud information that wouldn't be available to a real life GT3/GT4 driver.
It's an extremely hard core sim made in Unreal Engine 4 as opposed to Kunos's in house engine for AC.

Keep in mind: ACC has a very small career mode because it is a multiplayer game. Just like Gran Turismo Sport, but with hardcore physics.

If you want out of the box F1 experience, get F1 2020.

If you want more realistic F1 experience, get AC. Though keep in mind that getting all the proper liveries for the season etc requires you to download the mods etc so that could be troublesome if you don't know your way around files/computers in general.

I recommend getting Project Cars 2. I have tried them all and only PC2 was good enough and fun enough to keep me coming back every few months. It has its faults - pitstops being the worst - but for the pure seat of your pants driving experience, sensation of speed, variation of cars and tracks, and career mode, it still beats every other driving game currently on the market. I have yet to find a driving game that even comes remotely close.

Hmmmmm are you forgetting Automobilista 2? It's made on the same engine as PC Cars but they improved on the driving and force feedback.

The career is lacking in ACC but if you own all the content there are 5 seasons worth of championships you can do. Career hasn't really been touched since launch and it was bad then.

Career/single player mode- F1 2020
Better F1 driving feel and graphics (with SOL)- Assetto corsa
For everything else no game comes close to ACC IMO.

The F1 games give a great single player experience but if graphics are all that matter check youtube videos to compare. The great thing with AC is you can have twice the content of the F1 games through mods.
Nats 2021 年 4 月 11 日 下午 3:25
Its just a ridiculous question to start with. As if an F1 centred game and AC or PC2 are comparable. You buy what you are interested in. My advice would be get F12020 for an F1 simulation obviously, AC for an in-depth driving simulation with a few dozen cars and tracks, PC2 for pretty much everything else.
