Game Can't even Run

ERROR
Steam not detected. Please ensure Steam is logged in before continuing.

This is the error i've ♥♥♥♥♥♥. I've restarted the game, restarted Steam, and even restarted my whole ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ computer. I cannot play this game which I paid for.
Help?

The game is abandoned, if you have played it under a few hours ask for a refund.

i know the game is abandoned but the devs said people who bought it before it shut down can still play it, and i'll be honest, i do actually want to play this game
