PLease, re-login to Steam account on your devices and then choose the exact region for both of you. Do not choose all, choose exactly - Africa or Europe.

We have tried both, whe then used the low-ping beta and we could join each other but we did not play since we lost all our progress in doing so. Have not found a solution for the main build.
