I would think of this as Red Dead Redemption 2: Undead Nightmare

Nice atmosphere and fun presentation, it nails the looks and style. I found myself appreciating the character designs and the environment quite a bit. There's only a little bit of exploration to be had, compared to God of War, its very light.

The combat tries to be fun and engaging, but is only the latter. There are multiple ways to defeat enemies. Yet it still falls into paper-rock-scissors where each enemy has a certain counter or two that should be used, a ton of rinse-and-repeat while dodging horde attacks until the health bars are gone. Every fight goes like that that I've played so far.

There is some customization through the talent and equipment trees, but from what I've seen so far, they don't spice up very much and are mostly number enhancers (some splash damage here, longer stun there, faster cooldowns, etc). You'll still use the same moves in the same ways, but maybe the latter picks do switch things up more.

It says I played for 2 hours, but it must have been 6 or more. Offline play, it probably didn't count.

Recommended for aesthetics on sale, do yourself a favor and don't do hard mode.
