why do developers hate manual saves?
seriously, is it that hard to program a save option?

Why do games have to have quite so many interactable objects, triggers that have to trigger in specific order. Why do players want multiple objects to interact with, and that can change state, and then how in heck do we add a new object into the game in an update and not break all the saves from older games which might not add. Ah and then also remove an object, and sometimes even add back the same objects, and maybe even in different locations. Oh but wait what if the object we removed relied on another object that has in fact changed and relies on something that was also not in the old version.... and finally discover that the poor sod who has to test the save system only got given 2 versions to test the upgrade path with and then we just get another CrowdStrike that throws a spanner in it. Sorry, went off topic, but that's a lot of the why but in an unbalanced kind of way.

it's just not the kind of game for manual saves, we don't play to skyrim or something like this here.
If you can save every minutes, we will miss something very important : the tension.
