Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis offers an expansive world and action-packed combat. the open-world exploration is enjoyable, and the character customization is deep. however, the grind can feel repetitive after a while. overall, it’s a great game for fans of sci-fi MMOs, but patience is key :))

I was an OG player who got to experience the original PSO2 in JP server from episode 3 onwards and only recently return to play PSO2NGS on global, fresh start with no account link since I've never played global before. 1 month later with 500 hrs in, 304% pot with new 12* wand fully upgraded fixa lv5: I think I now earn a rights to review.

There're vast difference between the two servers. One thing is fashion sense of people on global is quite more questionable and less subtle and style than that of JP. Therefore player shop is largely more expensive on anything that look sexual and a lot of cheaper on anything else, exactly opposite of what it looks like on JP server. Culture difference I know.

But aside from that, literally everything else is still the same old PSO2 I remember. Catchy storyline about hero vs Darker but with different name. Urgent Quest instead of Emergency. Event that gives so much of freebie that every grind from one period over seems meaningless. Lastly, the understanding of mechanic on each respective quest and enemy are more important than bis 300% augment stupid player who don't even know how to fight Garongo. What I remember about PSO2 prior to Hero class, it's all there.

Was enjoying it, but they changed anticheat and now the game crashes whenever I try to launch it :/

Hasn't been fixed in about 2 months now so I guess i'm not playing this game ever again lol
