It mostly depends on what you`re searching for:
If you want something similar to Slay the Spire
Griftland and Tainted Grail are more "Spire-like" Deckbuilders (Vault of the Void is another very good option)
Griftland has, hands down, the best production value.
Trials of Fire is essentially a Tactical Game with card battles
Great game, pretty unforgiving
Erannorth can be considered a mash-up of RPG and deckbuilder
Pretty much you want this game if you enjoy theorycrafting/minmaxing and/or making fun builds
The "main" game mode here is a sandboxy RPG-like campaign where you roam the continent killing stuff and stealing their cards.
(There is also a more traditional roguelike mode)
Another main point of Erannorth is that`s it`s 100% easily moddable, you can make/customize your own card/class/race by editing a text file (custom Portraits and all that stuff too)
What kind of RPG elements does Erannorth have?
As you can see there are lots of classes/races each one with its own pool of cards. Deck variety is very good.
As for RPG elements, you can see the usual "Stats" then there`s "Talents/Perks" and Equipment (basically cards that you always draw or that autoplay each round)
They’re not all TOTALLY different.
But a vampire mercenary does play very differently from a nymph animist, and both are very different than a human dreamshaper, etc. The vampire mercenary probably bleeds foes while defending as they DOT out. The nymph animist probably entangles all targets and then uses healing and summons to survive their impaired attacks while taking them out. And the dreamshaper is fairly unique- it builds super moves from multiple cards via a system that would take too long to explain.
The thing is, the game doesn’t help you figure this out. It just kind of throws cards at you, often with complex mechanics, and maybe you come up with a good system.
I like it, personally.
