I keep hoping for a next generation of European colonial struggles, but in the meanwhile this one is still one of my favorites.

Have played this game on and off for years, and always reminded why I always uninstall. Today's issue is that it won't even load. It takes me to the opening loading screen then closes itself. Not worth it.

As good as, if not better than Total War Medieval 2.
Never thought I'd say that, especially as I only bought this because it was on special.
But I'm nearly 200 hours in now, and honestly say it's a great game.
Even if you don't usually like this style of warfare, I think you will after you give it an honest crack. Buy it.

I've played just about all the total war games at this point and I can confidently say this is the worst. Terrible battle mechanics and the worst campaign map I've ever had the displeasure of playing. Don't waste your money, just get Napoleon if you enjoy this era of history.
