When some panels start glowing green, use the "ground-pound" attack on them (default: [Space] + [Q] on keyboard, [A] + [X] on gamepad). This will make the platform that Kao stands on move up. Then you can collect the boomerangs, hold down the targetting button (default: [Ctrl] on keyboard, [R1] on gamepad) and shoot out the mirrors that are floating above the Shaman (default: [E] on keyboard, [Y] on gamepad). Once the barrier is gone, you can shoot the Shaman directly. Repeat the whole step three times (you can damage the first boss: 3 times, 3 times and 4 times - for each of the three rounds, so he has a total of 10 health points).
