I came here for a game to satiate the lust I've had for a game that's even remotely adjacent to xcom. I got that and more. Tactical Breach Wizards fills the void firaxis left in my stomach while still being a completely unique and different experience. If you weren't a fan of xcom or never tried it, I'm almost certain you'd still be able to have a killer time with this game, it's such a unique experience.

And that's ignoring the story element of the game. I enjoy the overarching story but each individual character moment just hits so hard. They do such a wonderful job of making you care about everyone (maybe not so much the last character, but considering he shows up 75% of the way through the game they do a spectacular job).

Pretty fun tile-based turn-based strategy game with overall good writing, humor, and really fun and original gameplay, focusing on using your environment to your advantage with multiple knockback moves.
