Vagrus if you're looking for a novel, and don't mind scraping for every penny just to stay solvent. Long complicated trade routes, randomized guild missions so you never know which city is optimal to go to next till you get to one. I had a solid time with it.

Thanks everyone for the recommendations. I bought Recettear after trying the demo but I didn't like it as much. I tried the Sailing Era demo and /really/ liked it. Added it to my wishlist. Always wanting more trading games so keep the recommendations coming!
