how do I change back to my previous ship?

bought a gas guzzler now I can't keep up with its maintenance jesus christ

I think you have to buy it again from the shipwright.

Until you get the ability to own multiple ships at different islands, you can't change back without buying it again. Sorry.

Idk if it helps, but I've found no issues with keeping up on the gas maintenance for any of the ships I get. I max out my storage buying anything that's cheap (inexpensive or less) unless it's gems, then I always buy unless 225, and once I sell at very expensive, boom, I'm good.
