Iron Rain isn't as bad as people make it out to be but it is very different to the main games. There are technically 4 classes, but armour and weapons are shared between all and are acquired through collectibles and in-game currency (there are no crates), the enemy roster is different and missions normally have a smaller number of stronger enemies compared to the larger scale battles of the main games.

I would be more interested in buying it if there were more people playing it. I only saw 8 people on last time I checked

I mean playing EDF with randoms online is always an awful experience anyway if you want to co-op you want people you actually know to play it with

iron rain is still a good game. but its different to other edf games. people just like to whine lol

It's ok, but nothing compared to the mainline EDF games.

i want to like iron rain, but the braindead ally ai ruins it.

It's just a little different. I only played trooper and had a lot of fun. The different PA-Gears have not really resonated with me. The biggest problem is the ally AI. Apparently the PS4 version does not have this AI bug. The second biggest problem, for me, is the lack of good weapons fro how I play. I'm sure a lot of the weapons are fun but the grind for money it just as much as the grind for loot in 5. So it makes it hard to play with different weapons and see how they act. But it is not a "bad" game. Not nearly funny as mainline EDFs. And the final difficulty can be pretty hard on some missions. But as others have said, it's about lightly less enemies that are a little harder to kill. Rather than the massive swarms of the mainline games. World Brothers is very similar feel, enemy wise.

yea i like the customisation too. defs makes your character feel a bit more unique to you

The only truly irredeemable games are insect armageddon and tactics
IA is tolerable if you get it very cheap but you'll soon see why I say what I said.

i own all of the edf games available on steam, i like iron rain.
