Ball collisions are disabled for everyone on the first stroke, however they automatically re-enabled immediately when you putt, which could cause problems, perhaps there should be a very short delay between putting and enabling the collisions. Also, related to what you mentioned about resetting shots, collisions are not disabled if a player resets their ball to the tee, which would cause more problems.
I'll take a look at improving this.

Yeah that's what we were thinking, maybe you disable collisions until your ball is at least x distance from any other ball when shooting from the tee box (reset or initial shot, regardless).
