I left Sofia up there and went down as Jason and found the upgrade to be able to navigate Sofia underwater. The problem is... The ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ blocks respawned. Is there any way to get back up to Sofia or is this the end of my playthrough?...

Just decided to whip up some of my thoughts here after beating the game again. At the end of Destroyer Mode it had dawned on me that save a few bosses especially Venom Master, I had ended up enjoying the additional challenge along the way.
