Correction, the prediction you’re talking about is when it’s supposed to be announced not release. Unless Nintendo does a Valve move and launches it a week or two after it’s announcement; I doubt it will release in the second quarter.

Just forget about this dead game already.

this game is in development hell. its just certain by this point sadly. its not longer realistic to expect a release. and even if it would it would flop due to over development. same way tes 6 will go down eventually putting that series to rest for good.

The Hollow Knight IP is too small to be a launch title for Nintendo. Silksong will also come out on other consoles and PC. Nintendo will never launch a new console with a game that isn't even exklusive to the new device.

That’s not what he meant. He meant that it would be available the same day with the Switch 2 not an advertised day one game. It’s a common misconception.

No. A launch title is a game that launched the same day as a console and it’s exclusive. The idea is Silksong releasing around the Switch 2 release date. It doesn’t mean it’s a launch title.

I agree that’s absurd. Team Cherry won’t delay the game for that, but they will delay it if there’s titles that can overshadow it which is why February 2025 is a bad idea (Monster Hunter Wilds). I now see that OP did in fact say that which I misread before. OP is the only one that I’ve found that straight up said “Launch title”. Since Silksong isn’t first party I do doubt it would be a launch title. Most of the time we mean just launching the same day not launch title.
