You should run the game with integrated graphics。IF you run the game with Independent graphics, it will be black screen.

I got it to work now. I won't delete this thread in case anyone faces the same problem.

What I did was I used my Intel integrated instead of my Nvidia GPU. And it worked.

Hope this helps.

PS: Also don't forget to install all the DX stuffs in the game files.

How can I do that?

@diogonegreiros: If you have an nVidia card:
1) open the nVidia settings menu
2) go to "3D settings" (or something like that)
3) then the tab that lets you set options for individual programs
4) find the Shank 2 executable in the drop down and then choose to always use your integrated graphics with this game (I don't know the exact name, but it will be the one that's NOT "always use nVidia")

I'm having the same problem myself, going to try this when I get home.

If you have something other than nVidia, I'm not sure of the steps, but there's probably something similar you can do.

Update from me:
I tried this idea of forcing the game to use the integrated graphics and it worked! I only went as far as the main menu, but that's already farther than it would go before.

Hopefully there won't be performance issues when I actually start playing, but the game is 5 years old so... fingers crossed. :)

Thanks for the tip!

The other problem is that this will only run on 60h displays.. anything more and it wont even start. New discovery. Pretty ♥♥♥♥ for those of us who have good monitors.
cant play this game long time after few minutes playing its closing auto

Many times you can't set Nvidia 3D parameters to integrated graphics, they are blocked by the graphhic management of windows.
In this case you have to set windows graphics for the application(.exe) in the windows panel instead of Nvidia panel.
