Unable to buy DLC is straight doodoo
picked up this game after all these years and after finishing the main story I guess if i ever wanted to see the DLC content I would need to buy this game again and play through the story over again. Good game, bad business practice.

Yes, unfortunately that's because the download servers were closed for the old KoA Reckoning. The revised KoA Re-Reckoning has been released instead. And as you have correctly recognized, you not only have to buy it again, but also play through it again. As far as I know, both DLCs are already included. A new DLC, which is only for the new KoA Re-Reckoning, is also available to buy. I bought the complete game + both DLC back then and I'm glad that I can enjoy the entire old KoA Reckoning.

is it possible to inject the DLC file to the original amalur directory folder or somehow access the DLC from the original amalur?

I bought KOA Reckoning + DLC's completely via Steam. Only theoretically... since there are no more download servers, the DLC's are no longer checked by e-mail identification of legality, here a legitimate purchase, the DLC files must be stored somewhere. I noticed this when I reinstalled KOA Reckoning. At first I thought I wouldn't be able to access the DLCs because there was no longer a connection to the download servers. But ingame I saw that they are available and that without a check. I don't know where Steam got them from. Steam didn't ask me "Can you have them?" either. Since Steam earns money from sales and I don't want any trouble, I would prefer not to write any further statements here. It's all theory here ;)

At the very least, anyway, they could have left the DLC up for owners, and de-list the game to prevent people from buying the main game itself. It may not be "how it works" but the capacity to shaft customers out of the "complete" experience for whatever reason, should also be not how it works.

The required server login, and subsequent removal of said servers, is the biggest "doodoo" of all, imo. For exactly the reasons OP stated.

Kingdom of Amalur: Reckoning and the two DLC's are no longer available for a long time on Steam. On the main page you get the hint for KOA ReReckoning.
I can't post the links here because they are not displayed in Steam. Search for it in your browser:
- Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning
- Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning - Teeth of Naros
- Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning - Legend of Dead Kel

Or just de-list everything like what happened with the original Skyrim release on steam.

Dlc work when you have it, i have the game and dlc and i can see the two new contry on map and can go to. i never use the cdkey to connect my Ea game account with the game. You juste needed to connect your game and account if you want upload your game save on EAgame cloud.
