Re-summoning weirdness
I was in a situation where a treant (or whatever the rooting tree-thing is called) immobilized my entire team.

My owlbear companion was forward, so ended up tanking the advancing tree. My bat was far behind, and since the timer on its summon skill was already off, I decided to replace the one on the field with a new one who could actually move and attack in the next round.

I picked a spot a tile away from the owlbear and the enemy treant, and... it removed the owlbear from the field, giving me two bat companions, instead of eliminating the rooted bat.

That's.... probably not intentional.

Also, while on the subject of re-summoning, what dictates the type of skeletal minions raise dead gives? The refresh of them also seems somewhat odd - would it be possible to add ability to dismiss any of them as needed (preferably as 0 AP action), just so it's possible to reliable re-summon fresh ones?

The answer to all your questions is: random.

You have a restriction of two hunter animals so it will unsummon a random one then summon the new one. You can totally have 2 bats, wolves or whatever (especially if you have a cool down reset).
The skeleton raised is also random.

You can unsummon minions by pressing the x next to their health bars, so you can always choose which summon you want to dismiss at any time and no cost.
However skeletons will not leave behind bodies (though I believe there is a special item that changes that) so you can't endlessly resummon them.

Ah, got it. Though it was intended to be "remove exactly the companion that is being re-summoned."[/quote]

THANK YOU!

Would have never noticed that functionality, that alone solves probably all the issues I've been having with re-summoning.

Yeah, I know of one if there's more - there's a wand from the Fly King that makes skeletons leave corpses as well. Shame it doesn't come with 2AP attack as well, though. That one attack is enough for me to stashed it - corpses aren't exactly hard to come by.

Appreciate all the information, thank you again!
