AUDICA: Rhythm Shooter
will the game support mods like beatsaber??
Saw the trailer and went to steam to search for this, i want to know if you guys plan on supporting mods like in beatsaber, where people can make map their own songs and add more content to the game and share with others.

Yes.

Can't find any official quote on that, so I won't say for sure.
But if this game doesn't have mod support, so possibility to create custom tracks, like beat saber, it's pointless.

100 percent agree. Will be first day buy if they support modding community, if no support im skipping.
without Custom Songs I will not buy it
They'll never gain the market share they are gunning for if they don't support mods. We have Beat Saber and it is a ton of fun. I don't see people jumping ship for something that will likely cost more with far less content. Although I am confident that they understand this, it seems unlikely that it'll be allowed.
Beat Saber does not "support" mods, but it's made in Unity written in C# and (most) apps/games written in C# are "easy" to mod even without official "support" by the game devs.

Im not 100% sure, but I think I have read somehwere that this game is also made with Unity so there is a high chance that they also used C# (I doubt that they would use IL2CPP for a game like this), which means there is a chance for mods if someone from the community cares enough to investigate the game code (which is "illegal" btw, but most game devs don't care, if you just want to improve/mod the game)

But of course it would be better if the game would have official support for mods or atleast custom songs ;)

I don't think the early access version will have official support for custom songs, but maybe they will listen if enough people request it during the early access phase.

Beatsaber didnt stop people from doing it thats all im saying, other game bans people who do. In a way thats supporting it
If it wasn't for the modded songs in beat saber i'm sure it would have just died, in my opinion the developers haven't really done much to the base game and almost completely relied on the community. I too hope this game will have some sort of community mod.
I'm also interested in knowing if it's likely to be able to add custom songs. Beat saber is fun, but it's fun because I have 100+ songs that I know. I think I played 2 of the built in songs before downloading the custom song mod and I've not played an original song since.

Even if they would like to ban, they cant because its not a multiplayer game.

Since when did they only ban players in mutiplayer games?

Explain me how are you expecting to be banned in game that require no internet connection? And how would you like them to catch you when the only internet module in this game is leaderboards?

you dont need to have internet connections while playing to get caught, there are other ways one can get caught, like posting a video online.
main thing is devs can ban you for doing something to their game they dont like or want
I wouldn't count on custom songs.
AFAIK, none of the other Harmonix games support them without unauthorized hacks. They make money by selling DLC. Custom songs could ruin that business model.
Also Harmonix is a rather big studio, who often license songs from major companies. Custom songs are a legal gray area: downloading custom songs without a licence is piracy. Considering how aggressive the music industry usually is, custom songs are surprisingly well tolerated (see: Osu!, Stepmania, Beat Saber, ...). However, because of their situation, I don't think that Harmonix can afford it.
