I know, I feel you. This game is awesome and superior on PC.
I think this is the mentality that gets people to justify paying over $1,000-2,000 or more for a Steam Key for a "meh" game. It is OKAY but I remember alpha/beta testing it at Raven Software before it's release and thinking "this game is just okay, it probably won't sell very well though". I gave my feedback in how I thought they could improve the game, they didn't listen and the rest is history.
Just buy a physical copy of the game on Ebay for inexpensive in comparison. It is cooler to own a physical copy irl to put on a shelf anyway, as opposed to owning near 2,000 digital games on a Steam profile that no one cares about anyway *cough*, you don't get any babes or dudes irl by having a cool steam profile to show off. I should know
It would have been nice to own a copy on Steam to have all of my games in one place, but the game almost never went on sale and it was usually overpriced for what it was and how short it was. Now if you are a Raven Software fan and want to own all of their games I can understand.
It's funny that Bethesda has the final say considering it's not really even their game, it's Ravens. But stupid Bethesda owns the franchise which is a travesty.
You can just find a digital copy online from public tracker websites, but be prepared to be DMCA'd by Bethesda because they are so petty they don't want you downloading the game for free, despite there being nowhere online to buy the game. And they don't make a dime from Ebay sales so I don't get it.
So maybe use a VPN that supports P2P traffic (usually you have to pay a monthly free for those since there are no free VPN's that support P2P, for obvious reasons).
