I am about midway through a game where I am ignoring Katya, expect for the tutorial part where you are required to do this. I find this game fun, but I am not good at it, and dont really expect to get to the end part anytime soon or ever. I'm curious if there is any consequence for ignoring her? I suppose if there is, I can just go through and do all the interactions since she is there at each place assuming I reach the end and find it breaks something there.

My guess is that nothing will break, but you will have to interact with her to progress at the end bit.
