Step 1: you need to download the game "half-life";

Step 2: in your library, right click the half-life and click "properties". The "properties" is the last option when you right click "half-life";

Step 3: after you click the "properties", a page appears. At the left part of the page, the 4th option "Betas", that is what you need to click;

Step 4: after you click the "Betas" option, you would see "Betas participation" appears at the right part of the page. click the blank at the right of "Betas participation", which you should see "None", and then select the 3rd option "steam_legacy - pre-25th Anniversary Build".

Step 5: then an auto-updating would happy on the game "half-life". Wait until the auto-updating finishing. Then the game "CS1.6" would run successfully.
