Minor bit of feedback in the form of a query: I don't understand how to use the cooking well; would it be possible to explain its use? Is it just for gathering water as a food item?

Yes, the cooking well produces water for the various workshops that use it.
That is all. Due to some bugs in Gnomoria, it's gotten a bit mor complicated than it really should be. To use correctly, make one well bucket at the well. Afterwards just order water, the rest should work automatically.

The page indexs there a use to them? there just taking up a whole stock pile one page per tile and I have containers (where i think there listed as under) unchecked

The name index stores the pages, but you have to build it in a stockpile.

Found it, a container of its own, thanks

I seem to get only Merchant settlements with only basic goods to trade. So far three of those.
It used to work with previous versions of the mod (increasing value of goods to trade) before

Can you made all large meals sellable to Mining Colony?

Just downloaded the mod. It looks quite interesting. However, I'm finding the cooking workshops a bit hard to manage. Is there a way to just have the vanilla cooking stations? Or is there a guide on how to use all those stations efficiently? I found the meals were disappearing, and gnomes staving before I could get anything produced (even with Strong Start). Advice? I would really love to keep trying this mod. Thanks!

Start off making light meals and make sure you always have some available so they don't eat your raw ingredients. However, don't stick with light meals for too long and try to transition to meals soon. The meals that use more ingredients are most efficient. Make large meals only if you have a food surplus.

looking at the well, i was wondering is it possible to do some sort of fishing production line with fishing holes

A workshop that produces free food all year round sounds kinda broken.
Also, what would be part of a fishing 'production line'?

Great mod. Some ideas:

Magic/Alchemical Armor and Weapons, or Upgrades for the armor and weapons through alchemy/magic.

Many uses for fertilizer.

If I could suggest one item, it would be fishing. I don't know if it would be feasible, but I'll try to structure it around existing Gnomoria mechanics:
1. A "Fishing Dock" would be built over water, similar to how the Well operates.
2. A Fishing Rod would be made from 2 sticks, 1 resin, and 1 string at the Woodcarver. Giblets, or meat could be used for bait.
3. The Fishing Dock would then use the meat/Giblets and turn them into raw fish.
4. From there, Fish could be used as an ingredient in stew, fried fish, turned into fish meat, or pressed into Fish Oil (as an alternative to the normal cooking oil).
I don't know if it's possible within the current restrictions of Gnomoria, but if it is, utilizing water would definitely be a fun time. :)

Also, thanks so much for adding the corner inclines. It really helps liven up the world and make it look less blocky! :)

As for people having trouble with cooking, my strongest recommendation would be the following:

1. Construct a Cooking Well. Once you've created a Bucket and turned it into a Well Bucket to use with it, set it to craft water to 1, and then a full bucket to 1. This will ensure you do not run out of water and retain a full bucket for immediate water replenishment.

2. Construct a Kitchen. Have it construct Dough to 3, and then Flour on Repeat (or to a desired amount). This will ensure that no matter how much flour you have, you will always have the minimum amount of Dough required to make Bread. The flour coming afterward will ensure that if you DO have enough dough to make bread, you'll have enough flour for the next batch of dough.

3. Construct a Furnace. Already got one? Good. Set it to Craft Charcoal to 1. This will ensure you always have at least 1 charcoal to use in the baking of the bread. Good times. I constructed a 2nd furnace just so I could prioritize charcoal over regular coal, as I kept running out.

4. Construct an Oven. Yes, it requires a kiln for the brick blocks, but it's so, so very worth it. Turn the Bread on repeat, and you've got yourself a meal chain.

Want to get fancier? Let's take it up a notch.

5. Craft a Stove. You start the game with one, so you're already coming out ahead! Set it to craft Sausage to 1. This way, you've always got at least 1 sausage. Feel free to turn it up higher, but don't drown in the stuff!

6. Go back to your Kitchen. Craft the Sandwich to however many you want. MOVE THIS TO THE TOP. This means you won't waste time crafting Flour indefinitely while you're waiting for a tasty 'wich.

Hope this helps, guys.

Aside from Nr 1 (Only the well has this functionality), this can be done.
However , I would still need the necessary sprites to actually do it.
