Hey guys, hopefully this answers any questions you may have about this mod. Please take your time to read this before reporting a non-existent problem!

Q: I only have some of the NPCs and more than half of them are missing. Is there something I need to do to fix this?

A: You have to buy (from Steam, not on disc) and install Half-Life: Source and then mount it to Garry's Mod to have the NPCs. If you are missing the SNPCs, then you require VJ Base which can be downloaded for free on the workshop.

Q: The HL:S NPCs are inside of the game. If they use custom sounds and models, then anyone should be able to view them regardless, right?

A: I'm still trying to determine if letting people have access to the NPCs without buying the actual product would violate Valve's terms of service.

Q: All of the NPCs are broken, don't work properly, and are constantly emitting errors. What is causing all of these issues and how can I fix it?

A: This addon conflicts with Silverlan's Half-Life Renaissance because it replaces default HL:S NPCs. Uninstall this addon and it should work properly. Instead, you should try installing one of the reuploads of my fix of the older "Reconstructed" version that fixes this issue.

Q: Why do the NPCs have so much HP?

A: It's to reflect how they behaved in the original SC maps (they were even more overpowered there). There may be in option in the future to bring them to a more default level of hit-points.

Q: The VJ Human Base SNPCs just stand there most of the time and are really buggy. Will this be fixed?

A: DrVrej made a very stupid change to his base, making all humans only work with a ValveBiped model. This broke these SNPCs, and I'm currently not motivated to work on a fix since nobody seems to care about this pack anymore.

Q: Will there be more content in the future?

A: If there are new Uboa map releases, then possibly, unless if I am explicitly told not to. I wouldn't get too excited though.

Q: There used to be sounds included in this pack that were used as music for the original Uboa maps, but they were removed. Why were they removed and will they be released elsewhere?

A: They were removed due to the Steam Workshop file limit. They were simply a waste of space. I probably won't be releasing these, but if you know what you're doing, you can copy and paste them to a new addon folder in the Garry's Mod directory if you'd like to listen to them. You may have to fix some of their sample rates in order for them to play.

Q: What is "Uboa"?

A: It's a surreal, community-made map series made for Sven Co-Op. You can find all of these monsters as enemies (or sometimes allies) in these maps.

Q: Does this have anything to do with the character who shares the name "Uboa" from Yume Nikki?

A: As far as I can tell, not at all. I don't know the origin of the name, it possibly came from somewhere on 2ch.

Q: I recognize a few of these models from other mods and games, but some of them behave slightly different. Why are you calling them "Uboa"?

A: Yes, the creators of Uboa (namely "enuze") stole a lot of resources from other mods to create his "Uboa monsters". This pack is meant to represent how those monsters were portrayed for SC.

Q: Author "enuze" addressed you and your mod as a "ripoff". Did you get permission before uploading this addon?

A: Read the answer above. There was no reason for me to ask for permission as half of his own assets were stolen. As I mention below, this pack is merely experimental. If he's so hot-headed about this addon that was ported from an entirely different game engine, then that's his problem.

Q: Why did you make or release this addon? Especially since the "creators" of Uboa are openly slandering you?

A: This was originally made as an experimental addon to test GoldSource-to-Source model porting as well as coding HL:S NPCs with base_anim technology. Later in development, it became a great experiment for using hooks on an NPC. This was originally intended as an act of support to the original authors until their mentality became much more transparent (read below for details).

Q: One of the Uboa mappers had an easter egg featuring a character with your "signature" playermodel inside of their map that was being ridiculed for "misunderstanding". Is this referring to you?

A: I don't understand how the reference applies to me, but yes, that's meant to represent me, and I was trolled about this for some time. I suppose that maybe there was a translation error in something I said to them? I honestly have no idea why this came up, and I hope it doesn't come up again.

Q: You and another's Steam ID is being insulted in a readme file for one of the Uboa maps. Do you know about this?

A: Yes, I do. Just ignore it and don't try to contact the author either. They seem to dislike supportive fans from other countries for reasons that baffle me. I suppose they're xenophobic. Again, this an experimental addon. I no longer wish to support the authors.

the thing is that geneworm has its account in private due past problems so this addon ended up being "lost" and kinda archived... theres 2 ways of finding it only
