How to fix sound issues:

Hello Copperzinc,

first let me say this is a great fun mod and I am thankful that you made this. Thank you for your time and effort. I have Shogun 2, Rise and Fall of the Samurai with all DLC available on steam. Always bought the packages when they were on sale.

- Besides your mod I only run the 12 turns/year mod.

The problems are:

- the arsenal is not shown in the tech tree, it is buildable though

I wish you a happy new year!

Furin

Hi Furin. The arsenal is a legendary building (world wonder) and requires construction of Gunsmith and no other province in the world has it. There's no seperate tech requirement for it. The reason for this requirement is that elite royal marines (which excels in both melee and ranged combat) and gatling guns (the automatic machine gun with FPS) are extremely overpowered and I think it's good to limit the building site to one province. If you see AI building it you probably want to declare war and capture that province.

Is the Imperial Gurad Cav meant to be built under the Powder Maker or another building as i cant seem to find it?
copperzinc  [developer] 1 Jan, 2016 @ 11:38am
It's in powder maker. As described in the original topic here, are you running any other mods?
NepNep454 1 Jan, 2016 @ 12:01pm
yes i was but i dont get it the mod i was using allowed all other units and features of this mod but the Guard Cav. The mod is Samurai's Cheat Mod (Non-Morale) version
copperzinc  [developer] 1 Jan, 2016 @ 12:41pm
The reason is that if another mod modifies the build table, it might create a duplicate key error if both of the mods are using the same integer for one unit. The duplicated unit will be disabled.

I'll try to make it more unlikely by using keys that's less likely to be used in the next version.

Geetings!
Somehow mod doesn't work for me. I do have Otomo DLC and the Fall of the Samurai expansion and I am not using any other mods. Every time, when I start the game, mod manager shows, that mod isn't activated. I do it, game starts normally, but it's still a vanilla Otomo in game.
Thank you for this mod. Looking forward to your answer.

Hi,
When you launch mod manager, what does it say?
It should be something like this:
Total War: SHOGUN 2 - Mod Manager Double-click mods for details. Tick mods that you want to play. Please note that mods can make the game crash, and many mods are not compatible with each other! Finished enumerating subscribed content. Mod expanded.pack is up-to-date. Mod more_campaign_years.pack is up-to-date. Mod modern_units_otomo.pack is up-to-date. Mod gbj_blood_shogun_2.pack is up-to-date. Finished enumerating published content.

You should make sure the mod is checked.
When you launch the game, on the top-right corner you should see (version number) [modded] text

Hello,
It says:
Total War: SHOGUN 2 - Mod Manager Double-click mods for details. Tick mods that you want to play. Please note that mods can make the game crash, and many mods are not compatible with each other! Finished enumerating subscribed content. Mod modern_units_otomo.pack is up-to-date. Finished enumerating published content.

And it says "modded", next to the version.
And yet it's still a vanilla Otomo in the game.

Sorry but I have to ask. I've checked your profile is private. And since you are level 0 with private profile, are you using genuine version of Shogun 2 with the DLC? I can't provide support if you don't own the game.

The main thing is you need to install the latest update. The mod won't work for any other versions. Having a genuine copy ensures you are kept up-to-date.

Also make sure you "checked" the mod, instead of having it "unchecked". There should be no other interference if you only have this mod in the data folder... If this still doesn't work, try deleting the game and repair. I had it once acting like that and doing it fixed it in MTW.

If all of the above points are good, can you go to "Clan Management" page in the game, mouse over Otomo clan trait, and provide me a screenshot (F12)?

Yes I understand, sorry I did not describe it well. What I meant was, that the arsenal is not shown in the tech tree, whereas the other legendary buildings are shown (in the information text when hovering over the upgrade in the tech tree). It is not a huge deal really. Maybe it might confuse some people totally new to the game, because they cannot find the arsenal.

What unlocks it is the tech choice that shows the gunsmith (last gunpowder tech).

Yeah. Which is why I decided to keep problem reports in a seperate therad from quick feedbacks in the dashboard ;)

I think this is the case for the vanilla game as well. Some buildings do not have tech requirements to unlock, only the building chain requirement.

Ok great, I did not know that! The last TW game I "sortof" successfully modded was MTW2 :steamsad:. Thank you for the feedback.

I kept forgetting to change the privacy options. I do own the game, and it's up to date. Tried checking the cashe and repairing it - everything was ok. The mod is checked everytime I launch the game. And here is a screenshot, as you asked.

Good point I forgot to mention. Added it back to the first thread. Thanks!

That doe seems like it's not working.
On the top right corner of the game at main menu, can you confirm the version is Build 5890.360545(modded)?

If so, go to %APPDATA%\Roaming\The Creative Assembly\Shogun2\logs
What does the log say?

Go to %APPDATA%\Roaming\The Creative Assembly\Shogun2\scripts\user.script.txt verify the following line:
mod modern_units_otomo.pack;

Go to your steam shogun 2 folder\data and verify the mod modern_units_otomo.pack is there and is readable by everyone (check its security attribute right click->properties->security)
