Introduction
If you are experiencing an issue that is not experienced by everyone, you may try the following troubleshooting processes A and B. (Even if your issue does not match the quotes below). If that does not solve your issue, send a bug report and/or continue onto processes C, D, and E.

Process B, C, D, E are not specific to PLT and may be used to troubleshoot other mods or workshop content. They are good processes to try if you believe you have corrupted workshop data.

If you are experiencing a major issue not solely related to PLT, (such as roads not showing properly on map load coupled with null reference exception), refer to the Main Troubleshooting FAQ.

Please read and follow all troubleshooting steps carefully.
Fully complete each step before moving onto the next one.

Commonly Reported Issues
"Mod is not showing up"
"UI is not showing up"
"Cannot open control panel"

Solution
Most of the time, these issues are solved by following Process A: Basic Testing (below).
Process A: Basic Testing
* * * Please read and follow steps carefully before proceeding. * * *
  1. Make sure you are subscribed to this mod "Prop Line Tool" on the workshop page.
    http://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=694512541
  2. Make sure PLT is enabled in the Content Manager from the Main Menu. Seriously, go check.
  3. Start a new city to test PLT. Make sure that either More Beautification or Find It! are enabled. Also enable the built-in mod Unlock Everything.
  4. Select a prop or tree "blueprint" from the menu in More Beautification or Find It! Only once you have selected a prop or tree will the PLT buttons appear.
If you have selected a prop or tree and PLT is not appearing, then please take and send a screenshot AND output log.
  5. Select one of the PLT prop line draw modes: Straight, Curved, or Freeform. The button (hamburger icon) to open the control panel should appear to the right of the Freeform button.
  6. Click on the button (hamburger icon) to toggle the PLT control panel. The PLT control panel should appear on the screen.
If you have come this far and are still having issues getting the UI to show up, then please take and send a screenshot AND output log.

In Summary / Important Notes
  • Only once you have selected a prop or tree will the PLT buttons appear.
  • Only once you have selected PLT Straight, Curved, or Freeform will the button to toggle the control panel appear.

Next Steps
  • If this has fixed your issue, then no need to continue in the additional troubleshooting below.
I would appreciate it if you reported back what fixed your issue.
  • If this has NOT fixed your issue, then you may proceed to the next batch of troubleshooting steps:
Process B: Verify Integrity of Game Files

Next Steps
  • If this has fixed your issue, then no need to continue in the additional troubleshooting below.
I would appreciate it if you reported back what fixed your issue.

Process C: Reinstall All Mods One By One
  1. Ensure Cities: Skylines is NOT running.
  2. From the Steam client, navigate to your mod subscriptions.
  3. Make a collection/list of your mods if you haven't already done so. (This guide gives a nice rundown on creating steam workshop collections).
  4. Unsubscribe from all of your mods one by one. Wait a brief moment after every time you click the 'Unsubscribe' button.
  5. Completely Exit and Restart Steam. *
  6. Resubscribe to all of your mods in the same fashion. (Use the collection of mods you made earlier to make this process faster and easier).
  7. Again, Completely Exit and Restart Steam. *
  8. Load Cities: Skylines and test your mods on a new map. Repeat Process A.
* See step 3 in Process B on how to properly exit and restart Steam.

Next Steps
  • If this has fixed your issue, then no need to continue in the additional troubleshooting below.
I would appreciate it if you reported back what fixed your issue.

  3. Rename the 255710 folder to "255710 Backup YYMMDD" with today's date instead of YYMMDD, or to whatever helps you remember what it is.
  4. Reopen Steam. Your workshop content may begin to reinstall. If so, wait for this to complete.
  5. Repeat Process B to ensure all workshop content has reinstalled.
  6. Repeat Process A to test if this worked.
  7. Once all of your workshop subscriptions have been reinstalled, you may delete the original workshop content folder "255710 Backup YYMMDD" if you wish.
* See step 3 in Process B on how to properly exit Steam.
