Description
When the ocean vanished, its bottom dried up. As long as the ground remained fertile, people lived on this piece of sea floor. At first, they dug holes to get to the fertile ground below. Later, to avoid discovery by marauders, they also hid their big buildings below ground level.

Thank you! however, the creative process was quite the other way round - I saw images of mudcracks first, then tried to make an island with the photos in mind

Very beautiful Island, much creativity here. Plus I love how you must have looked at the island and was like "MMM... It looks like mudcracks" and it was fair enough.
