Description

Step 1. Install the game and then go to your Steam Library and browse the local files of Aliens: Colonial Marines.
Step 2. Follow the steps here: http://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=309284832
Step 3. Create a New Folder & name it ACMBackup and copy the 5 game files and paste them into ACMBackup.
Step 4. Go to moddb.com, search TemplarGFX's ACM Overhaul, click files, click V4, download it & save to desktop.
Step 5. Extract the zipped file to your desktop for quick and easy access and then double click the extracted file.
Step 6. Double click "Readme.txt" to learn about the mod and how to install manually without the installer.
Step 7. Double click "Using the Installer.txt" first to get a better understanding of how to use it.
Step 8. Double click "TemplarGFX_ACM_Overhaul_Installer.exe" and select/choose your ACM game directory.
Step 9. Select your master effects level and your difficulty addon, leave as default if you're a noob...like me!
Step 10. Read option 4 and 5 on the Installer before you click on Install. At least backup your critical files!
Step 11. Click Install, upon completion you'll get a popup, click OK and another window will open up like this.
Step 12. Check for any errors (highlighted with an asterisk *) in the log that occurred during the installation.
Step 13. Follow Step's 4 & 5 above, but click V4.5 instead of V4.
Step 14. Simply copy/paste or drag the file over to game directory and select "replace the file in the destination."

Step 16. Download the file and extract it to your desktop for quick access and then double click on extracted file.
Step 17. Double click "Quick Instructions (not for release).txt" for exactly that, quick instructions.
Step 18. Copy/paste or drag the contents from inside "core mod files" over to your game file directory.
Step 19. Double click PecanGame then double click CookedPCConsole and follow this next VERY IMPORTANT step.
Step 20. Find and delete these next 3 files from your game file directory.
     "GameFramework.upk.uncompressed_size"
     "GearboxFramework.upk.uncompressed_size"
     "TGEngine.upk.uncompressed_size"
NOTE... If you don't delete these 3 files from the directory then your game will crash so this is VERY IMPORTANT!
Step 21. Go to "This PC\My Documents\My Games and delete Aliens Colonial Marines folder and then you're good to go.

- NOTE... Pressing F7 - It will Enable / Disable Master Effects Post Processing (if its installed)  DEFAULTS TO OFF!
- NOTE... Pressing F6 - It will Disable your HUD, see the ReadMe.txt file in ACM Overhaul V4 mod to learn how to add this to your game.

doesnt work crashes immediately after start :( hope a fixed v5 version is coming soon v4 and v.5 keeps crashing as well :(

I recommend downloading V5, it makes the game a ton better. Otherwise TemplarGFX wouldn't have made the mod. You don't need it to play the game, but your experience with it installed will be a ton better. Templar makes some amazing mods.

ok, do i absolutly NEED the 1.2 gb v5 form the google or can i go up to step 14, jump to steps 18? sorry, its gon take a min for me to DL that V5 patch unless i can byoass it..once again appreciated.

You can just create a folder inside your ACM game directory and name it ACMBackup or whatever you prefer to name it and just copy/paste the 5 files into the ACMBackup folder that you created. Hope this helps, please let me know.
